Pinellas County No-Kill Animal Shelters
18″ x 18″ is a good size for cat carriers and cages. Use any washable yarn that is not too fuzzy. All shelters said they would NOT be using knitted blankets with dogs because of the chew factor.
For kids that age-out of foster care and are going on to college. Red scarves (any amount of red) should be 60″ x 5 – 8″ wide only so they can fit in the care packages.
For U.S. troops around the world. Any hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, blankets, afghans. Only to be worn/used when off duty; so no restrictions on colors or shapes.
