Guild Meeting

When: Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 6pm
Where: Largo Community Center

There will be a small gathering at Tampa Style Cubans on East Bay at 4:45pm to grab dinner before the meeting. There will be a FB message requesting an RSVP. Don’t forget, meeting starts at 6pm!

If you’re making the Fisherman’s Rib Dishcloth with us, but can’t make it to meeting, make sure to email a picture to BayAreaKG@gmail.com to be included in the monthly drawing!

We will be starting to knit Felted Bowls or Felted Coasters. Be sure to bring your feltable wool and needles and we will get started!

Knitting in the Park

Knitting in the Park will be Saturday, Mar 26 from 10am-2pm. Bring a chair, a packed lunch, your knitting and your show and tell! Have fun meeting and knitting with fellow knitters and crocheters. Open to anyone! I hope the weather is better than the last two months.

Yarn Swap

The yarn swap will be Thursday Mar 31 at 6pm. Location is Queen’s Pizza on N. Belcher Rd in Clearwater. Bring 1 skein of yarn of at least 75% natural fiber, valued at least $20, and a non-yarn item(s) totaling $10 (like notions, chocolate, other goodies). Place in a clear plastic zip bag. Come and have a great time choosing and stealing!

Workshop

Our workshop this month will be on Brioche Knitting. We hope you’ll come and have fun learning with us. It will take place at the Safety Harbor Library on Saturday, Feb 12 from 10am-4pm with a break for lunch. Price is $32 and includes a box lunch. You must pre-register!! Our only rules are:  Bring ONE skein of yarn (only one not two…) that is at least 75% natural fiber & has a minimum value of $20.  You also need to include a “fun extra” to make the total value of your swap around $30.  Now, that fun extra can be anything you like, it doesn’t have to be fiber related, either, just be creative & have fun!  Gift card, chocolate, beads, notecards… whatever makes you happy!

If you don’t have any yarn you can part with, please join us anyway, we’d love to just hang out with you.  It’s always a fun night & you’re welcome to join!!!
