Learn a New Knitting Cast-On (CO)!!

You will need to bring some worsted, DK or sport weight, 3 separate balls. Also, size 6, 7, or 8 knitting needles and crochet hook, G, H, or I. We will be learning 3 different cast-ons presented to you through personal instruction, round-robin style.

Your Knots of Love hat is due for the monthly drawing. We are accepting Knots of Love hats for donation until the end of March. So please keep knitting those charity hats. I will present you with a new hat to knit or crochet up for February.

Finally, the Yarn Crawl will start at the end of the week, Friday, Jan 27 through Sunday, Feb 12, 2023. Please see the BAKG Yarn Crawl tab for all the details!

We have exciting events for 2023:

January 26: Bay Area Knitting Guild Member’s Meeting | Largo Community Center, 400 Alt Keene Rd, Largo, FL 33771 | 6pm – 8pm

2023 is the Year of Hats. Each month we are knitting up a new hat. the first hat is any pattern from Knots of Love page. If you would like to donate the hat to the charity, then please use approved yarn from their list on the website.

If you are not yet a member of the Bay Area Knitting Guild, come and check us out! it is $20 to join for the year. To join, you can fill out a membership form on the website and pay thru PayPal or come to a meeting, fill out a membership form and pay cash or credit card to the Treasurer.

January 27 – February 12: BAKG Yarn Crawl 2023. Please see this link for Yarn Crawl Rules. Please also see the BAKG Yarn Crawl Tab for complete rules and link to your Passport. We have eight (8) area yarn shops featured in the 2023 yarn crawl and we hope you can visit each one!
